This 70-hour introductory module provides a comprehensive exploration of the role of doulas in supporting maternal and infant health. Designed for individuals seeking to enhance their skills in birth support, this program equips participants with the knowledge and practical experience necessary to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to expectant mothers and their families.

Through a combination of interactive learning, hands-on practice, and discussions, participants will gain expertise in:

• The fundamental role of a doula in pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care.
• Providing emotional, physical, and informational support to birthing individuals and their families.
• Understanding cultural competency and the importance of personalized, respectful care.
• Effective communication and advocacy skills to empower expectant mothers in making informed decisions.
• Practical techniques such as comfort measures, breathing exercises, and pain management strategies.
• Connecting families with maternal health resources and community support networks.
